We utilised plywood flooring and cabinetry throughout the hotel. Plywood is a renewable resource and is highly durable and strong.  It is also a low-emission material for improved air quality indoors and its insulation properties reduce energy consumption for heating and cooling.

By harnessing renewable energy from the sun, we significantly reduce our reliance on non-renewable power sources and lower our overall carbon footprint. The integration of solar technology allows us to operate more efficiently while preserving the natural beauty of our surroundings, ensuring that our presence contributes positively to the environment.

By capturing and treating rainwater for appropriate uses across the property, we reduce demand on local water supplies and minimise our environmental impact. This approach allows us to work in harmony with the natural rainfall patterns of the region while maintaining high standards of comfort and quality for our guests.

Sam is a generation potter from Gembrook, Victoria, and his original work is crafted from an off-grid wheel in his home studio. Sam has a strong focus on functionality and a strong connection to the hospitality industry to help inspire sustainable design.

They have a strong commitment to sourcing local materials and endeavour to recycling mattress components for a greener outcome. 

Crafted in Australia using natural, plant-based ingredients, Leif products are free from harsh chemicals and are produced with a strong focus on environmental responsibility. Their use of recyclable packaging and sustainable manufacturing practices helps reduce waste while supporting local production.

Love Tea is made in Melbourne by naturopath Emma Watson, utilising seasonal and local producers for our complimentary breakfast, shared menu plates.

Guests are encouraged to hang their towels for re-use to minimise water consumption as we use rain water at the hotel. This is an initiative to help guests play a part in our commitment to minimising our environmental footprint.

Complimentary MODA drink stations (including sparkling water) are available to refill guest water bottles and carafes. This helps us with our commitment to not selling plastic bottles.

Complimentary Love Tea & Nespresso coffee is available to all guests during their stay to avoid the use of takeaway cups with plastic lids.

Through our Friends of The Tamborine program we partner with local businesses in our community. This program allows us to celebrate local artisans, traditional craftsmanship, support initiatives that safeguard cultural heritage, and ensure that our guests experience the authentic spirit of the region.
