Peacock O’Clock
At The Tamborine, Peacock O’Clock is our daily golden-hour ritual when we offer hotel guests a complimentary aperatif from The Hub bar. Peacock O’Clock is designed for switching off, sipping something delicious, and settling into the evening whether it be poolside, by the fire-pits, playing lawn games, in The Hub or simply from your guest room balcony.
Peacock O’Clock was named after Bub (pictured above) who was our friendly peacock neighbour from St Bernards Pub next door for over 20 years. Sadly, Bub passed away in 2025 after a tragic accident. Tony, the owner of St Bernards Pub, was so heart broken he adopted three new peacocks, Harold, Colin and Cranberry.
You will see Harold and Colin happily strutting around the hotel grounds and ‘displaying’ their train feathers. Cranberry, however, is a bit of a Casanova and has been spotted with a special peahen on the other side of the mountain. Peacocks have an effortless way of bringing joy, beauty and a sense of occasion. It felt like the perfect name for our signature aperitif hour.
